Royal Bay Care National Award Finalists A West Sussex Care Group, Royal Bay Care Homes, has achieved ‘runners up’ in the 2009 Pinders Healthcare Awards. Their prestigious new Claremont development at Fontwell, nr Chichester was a finalist in the ‘Care Village Category’. The panel of Pinders judges visited the site were impressed by the unique design features, the emphasis on addressing the client needs, the general setting of the buildings within extensive landscaped grounds, the innovative use of ‘green measures’ that included solar heating, heat pumps, rainwater harvesting and photovoltaics (using the sun to power lighting), and the superb quality of the build. The Claremont site contains both garden Cottages for those that wish to live independently, but who may require help and support if and when needed, and arguably, the South’s finest Care Home, Claremont Lodge, that resembles more of a 5 star hotel than a traditional care home, whilst delivering the highest quality of care for which Royal Bay is renowned. The Managing Director of Royal Bay, Russell Wilson, said “I, and my co-directors, have spent many years being associated with the caring profession and it was particularly important that we concentrated on a ‘person centered’ approach in this design with our clients ultimately benefiting by being able to lead a better quality of life. The Claremont development is truly a Jewel in the Crown of West Sussex care provision and stands as a testimony to Royal Bay’s commitment to quality care for many years to come”. _______________________________________________________________________________ Daily Mail Press Release: Daily Mail Property Awards in September 2009, Claremont Gardens Retirement Village achieved the highest Daily Mail UK Residential 5 Star Property Award for “Best Retirement Development”
